ISO 9001 : 2000 Certification

Sameer Agriculture and Livestock Limited has been awarded ISO 9001: 2000 certification by Nemkos.

This was in recongnition of the Auditing done by Nemkos on the Management and Processing of MILK and MILK products by SALL

 

Sameer Eyes Regional Market..

SALL has started a 12 month journey to acquire an international certification for all of it's products.

In a bid to take on increasing competition in the region and to access other opportunities for it's products in the global market, the company is determined to put it's brands especially of Milk products on international supermarket shelves by first acquiring the International Food and Safety Standards know as HACCP Certification.

The MD said when completed, the exercise would ensure that "all our Products will be exported globally"....

UGANDA COMMISSIONS FIRST MILK POWDER... .

President Yoweri Museveni yesterday opened The long a waited East Africa's one of the largest milk Powder Plant, the first in Uganda, and called for the removal of taxes on the production of milk...

" We are going to remove all these obstacles. The tax on processed milk must be removed, taxes on aluminum cans used for transportation and taxes on bulk carriers, like tankers, must be removed," this was during the inauguration of the Milk Powder Plant.

The plant, a joint venture between the Sameer group of Kenya and RKJ group of India will process 250,000 litres of milk per day.

The President also flagged off a consignment of 15 tonnes of milk Powder and Ghee for export to Syria.

 

 

King Mswati tours Sameer Plant...

President Yoweri Museveni accompanied his guest yesterday (8th July),The King Mswati III of Swailand during the tour at the factory. The king with his family visited both the old and new powder plant. His Swazi Foreigh Affairs Minister said part of their motive for visiting Uganda was to relate the dairy sector between the two nations. this was during swazi leaders three day state visit........

SALL Donates Computers.....

As a Corporate Social Responsibilty, SALL has donated 11 computers to Mwereerwe Community Vocational Training Center in Semuto, Luwero district; this was in response to the pledge made during the official inauguration of the Powder Plant. The school provides training in modern methods of farming and Mechanized Agriculture
